GTX Lines A–F: Current Official Status

Separate operating, construction, pre-construction, and planning-stage GTX lines using the current official project-status snapshot.

GTX line status

GTX-A · Partial operationUnjeong Jungang–Seoul Station / Suseo–Dongtan sections operating; Samsung Station connection pendingMOLIT 2026 work plan: prepare for non-stop passage through Samsung Station in 2026; full opening target 2028

The Unjeong Jungang–Seoul Station and Suseo–Dongtan sections are operating separately, with the central Samsung Station connection still outstanding.

The 2026 non-stop passage and 2028 full-opening dates are government-plan targets. Seoul's 2026-09-23 statement on Samsung Station reinforcement is a city position statement, not a final MOLIT schedule decision.

GTX-B · Under constructionIncheon National University–Maseok main line2031 opening target

The 2026 government work plan classifies GTX-B as a project that began construction in August 2025 and presents a 2031 opening target.

Private-investment and publicly funded sections can progress on different schedules, so one project-wide construction percentage should not be assumed.

GTX-C · Pre-constructionDeokjeong–Suwon main lineConstruction target: second half of 2026

An amended implementation agreement cleared the private-investment review in August 2026; construction is to follow construction-contract, financing, and commencement procedures.

The official 2026-08-25 material describes a construction target, not confirmation that full construction had already begun.
